2008
As writer and director Peter completed
the documentary "BABA'S BIRTHDAY", shot in Central
India with Michael Ney of Sensory Image productions. This
film involved following the journey of Peter's son Luke to
Meherabad, where he was to appear in the Bedouin classic
play "Leila and Majnun" celebrating the birthday
of perfect master Meher Baba, and exploring the depths of
His teachings and the background to His life.
This year will also see the release of
the science fiction movie "EKTOPOS" in which Peter
appears for producer Lisa Raciti, and an "ALL
SAINTS" episode where Peter plays a barrister with a
destructive disease.
Due for release is the short film
"TREASURE ISLAND", directed by Brent Williams and
produced by Dejay Van Nguyen, in which Peter and Luke appear
playing father and son. This is the second time that they
have performed together, having played in "THE BANNER
OF VICTORY", the story of the introduction of Buddhism
to Tibet by Milarepa, at Meherabad in 2007.
In development with Hugh Wade and
Backshed Productions, is a six-part series of comedy half
hours for television - "SENILE DELINQUENTS" (or
"WHAT'S THAT?").
Reaction has been very positive to this situation comedy
series about two old "geezers" who scam for a
living in the big city.
Also on the drawing board is another
series of the radio comedy "THE VIDEO DIARIES",
set in Ancient Rome.
Attracting interest in both New York and
Los Angeles is Peter's screenplay, "SPIDER DANCE",
a powerful drama revealing the infamous Lola Montez's last
days in colonial Australia.
Currently, Peter is still recovering from
the "STAR WARS" 30th Anniversary Convention held
in Melbourne.
